Cougar CUBS
As the original D team that started the Cougars’ revolution in San Francisco’s Gay Softball League, the team has come a long way from being the young upstarts, wearing bad soccer shirts. After the great Cougars expansion into the C division, nicknames for each of the Cougars’ teams were voted in and Cougars D became CUBS. This extra name stays consistent with the youthful exuberance that’s always been attached to each Cougars D squads throughout the years.
Where previously these cats scratched and clawed their way to a victory, their last few winning seasons have produced World Series berths. The #CUBS have represented San Francisco in the Tampa series in ’18 and Kansas City in ’19, placing 7th in the country in the Florida games.
